The Bottomline

After these games are finished, the Canucks will enjoy a long All-Star break after playing the Nashville Predators on January 26th. Horvat is the man of the week, and the Sedins should start coming back to their point-per-game form in a few games. Expecting Sbisa, Sutter, and Jannik Hansen to return this week, the Canucks will have some fresh legs and some speed in their line up.

This week should be a fun one, the last road trip out East for the Canucks this season. Control and take advantage of the emotional flow to the game, and the Canucks will be smooth-sailing. Get over the last games here, and you know what, they are blessed with a perfect schedule to finish the season off.

Interesting lineup combinations will be coming, as coach Willie Desjardins tries to integrate six centres (Henrik, Sutter, Horvat, Jared McCann, Linden Vey, and Adam Cracknell) into the line up. As the NHL rests for the All-Star festivities, expect Jim Benning to try to cut down on the list of forwards. This upcoming week won’t be just about playing hockey. It will be fun to watch Trader Jim pull an acrobatic act trying to stay under the roster restrictions.
