Vancouver Canucks vs. Seattle Kraken: Best Bets and Preview

The Vancouver Canucks face off tonight against their geographic rival, the Seattle Kraken. After upsetting the defending Stanley Cup champions in the first round of the playoffs, this year has off to a disappointing start for Kraken fans. They currently sit sixth in the division and nine points behind the Canucks. Unfortunately for Soucy, he’ll have to wait for his revenge game as he’s out with a lower-body injury. Tonight’s game should be exciting as there are many impressive trends between these two rivals.
Game Preview:
The Canucks and Kraken have a trend that has hit in 88% of their head-to-head matchups since the Kraken came into the league. They’ve gone over the game total of 6.5 in seven straight games. The Canucks coming into this game have gone over this total in nine of their last ten, while the Kraken are 6-4 to that over. The Canucks lead the league in goals, averaging 4.4 per game. The Kraken allow the seventh most goals against, averaging 3.7 per game.
We get the brick wall, Thatcher Demko in net tonight, who has the best goals-against average amongst starting goalies in the league. While this is a little worrisome for our total, we get Grubauer on the other side, who has a 3.3 goals-against average.

The Kraken are an intriguing target for defencemen prop betting this season as they allow the fourth most shots on goal to the position, averaging 9.4 per game. Seattle has allowed their opponent’s number one defencemen to clear their shots on goal line in eight of their last ten games. The Kraken allow thirteenth most shots on goal on the road, averaging 32 per game.
Jared McCann Over 2.5 Shots On Goal
McCann gets a revenge game against the team that drafted him in 2014. McCann has cleared in five straight and eight of his ten road games this season. He averages 3.8 shots on goal on 7.1 shot attempts on the road. McCann is averaging 6.0 shot attempts per game this season. McCann has cleared in 90% of games this year when he sees that volume and 89% of his games last season. Jared has covered this line in five of his previous seven games against his former team.
