The Vancouver Canucks (5-2-0) will finish off their back-to-back with a home showdown with the New York Rangers (5-2-0), which will be the two teams’ first of two meetings this season. Casey DeSmith will start this half of the back-to-back with Thatcher Demko backing up fresh off of a shutout performance last night. Without further ado, here are the Canucks lines and pairings for tonight.

Canucks lines vs Rangers, Oct. 28

Phillip Di Giuseppe – J.T. Miller – Brock Boeser

Andrei Kuzmenko – Elias Pettersson – Ilya Mikheyev

Dakota Joshua – Pius Suter – Conor Garland

Anthony Beauvillier – Sam Lafferty – Nils Hoglander

Canucks defense:

Quinn Hughes – Filip Hronek

Ian Cole – Mark Friedman

Carson Soucy – Tyler Myers

Canucks goaltending:

Casey DeSmith will make his third start of the season while Thatcher Demko backs him up after playing last night in the 5-0 win against the St. Louis Blues.

Notes:

Rangers lines (proj.)

Rangers forwards:

Alexis Lafreniere – Filip Chytil – Artemi Panarin

Chris Kreider – Mika Zibanejad – Kaapo Kakko

Will Cuylle – Vincent Trocheck – Blake Wheeler

Jimmy Vesey – Nick Bonino – Barclay Goodrow

Rangers defense:

Ryan Lindgren – Adam Fox

K’Andre Miller – Jacob Trouba

Erik Gustafsson – Braden Schneider

Rangers goaltending:

Igor Shesterkin will get the start for the Rangers tonight with Jonathan Quick backing him up. Quick just posted a 29-save shutout of the Edmonton Oilers two nights ago, so it would appear the Rangers starting Shesterkin against the Canucks was strategically planned.
