Vancouver Canucks Reverse Retro gear from adidas is now available at the NHL Shop. It’s sure to sell pretty quick, so get your orders in ASAP.
Two years ago, adidas and the NHL revealed Reverse Retro uniforms. They looked great and the new styles made for an impressive debut. In fact, the second the first wave of uniforms were finalized, design teams started to think about the 2.0.
It took nearly 800 days, but it was worth it.
Today, the Vancouver Canucks Reverse Retro gear is available to order. You’ll have your pick of headwear, shirts, hoodies… and of course jerseys. That’s why you’re here. The jersey.
And we don’t blame you.
The NHL and adidas are really excited about the Reverse Retro line. They think fans will be just as hyped as they were two years ago.
“It’s really emotional,” Brian Jennings, Chief Brand Officer and Senior Executive VP at the NHL, told NHL.com. “It’s been a long process, but when we see the fan responses, that’s the most rewarding part about the job.”
So what’s the story behind the Vancouver Canucks Reverse Retro design for the 2022-23 season? Here’s what NHL.com had to say:
“Inspired by the Canucks’ 1962 uniform of the former Western Hockey League, the Reverse Retro jersey features a recreation of the 1960s Johnny Canuck icon on the center crest. Matching the original jersey, player numbers appear on the left chest and right shoulder only.”
