Bold Prediction #2: Despite improving on last year, the Canucks failure to make the postseason costs Travis Green and Jim Benning their jobs

After last season, the calls for the firing of Canucks head coach Travis Green, and general manager Jim Benning reached an all-time high in this Canucks era. Despite the fan outrage, upper management chose to continue with the pair for the 2021-22 season, however it seems likely that if success falls by the wayside again, changes will be made, and that’s exactly what I believe will happen.

Even after being competitive this season, the failure of making the playoffs will be too much for ownership to ignore, and the Canucks look to a fresh start behind the bench and in the management box prior to the 2022-23 year. New management and a new staff would come in with a youthful core looking to add the right pieces that the current staff have been unable to find.
