New Acquisitions

There are a bunch of new faces on the Canucks and it will be interesting to see how they do in their first season in Vancouver.

The biggest name is Oliver Ekman-Larsson and while his contract is an albatross and his game had declined in recent years a fresh start might be just what he needs.

Conor Garland is an exciting pickup and he looks like a guy who can score at least 20 goals and could put up 50 points in the top six.

Jason Dickinson is a reliable defensive centre and he provides some stability on the Canucks third line. He has filed for salary arbitration and hopefully, both sides can come to a new deal as soon as possible.

Jaroslav Halak is a proven capable backup and he provides some experience and mentorship for Demko.

Say what you want about Tucker Poolman and his contract but it will be interesting to see how he does on the blueline.

There are also the depth signings of Luke Schenn, Nic Petan, Phil Di Giuseppe and many others that will strengthen Abbotsford and hopefully provide the Canucks with some much-needed depth.
