J.T. Miller is unstoppable right now

He gets it now. That’s what Alain Vigneault said earlier this year about J.T. Miller and it’s proved to be straight facts. The club’s highest point performer had another big night versus the Avs as he keeps rolling in an attempt to get this team to the playoffs. After all, he was brought in by Benning to do just that, and he’s making quite the effort to get the task done.

Coming into the battle of old foes, Miller had racked up a whopping 15 points in 10 games. He added to that in quick fashion with a top-shelf snipe on a 2-on-1 with Elias Pettersson and his clean cross-crease pass tape-to-tape. That got the Canucks their second goal of a six-goal night and kept the Canucks in the lead.

He made a difference every time he was on the ice and its starting to look like he’s the Canucks’ biggest leader on and off the ice. He has all the tools of a greatly rounded hockey player, and his leadership skills are proving to be more important than ever. He added an assist and capped the night off with two points and 71 total on the season. The American bulldog is widening his lead on Pettersson for team points and he’s looking to finish over 85 points come season’s end. Another truly great win for Miller and the Canucks.

The Canucks got a much-needed win! There is still plenty of work to be done, but it’s one game at a time and Vancouver proved they can handle the tough competition. The team battles the Columbus Blue Jackets on Sunday. Time for some revenge.
