The Vancouver Canucks welcome the Washington Capitals to Rogers Arena as here is all the info you need to prepare for what should be a competitive game.

The Vancouver Canucks might have some issues when it comes to their execution on power play situations but are finally looking like the team fans envisioned them to be. Led by captain Bo Horvat, the Canucks are heading into Friday night’s game against the Washington Capitals with some good momentum.

After having a break of two days off after coming back to beat the Detroit Red Wings 5-2 this past Tuesday, Horvat is leading the charge that this team can indeed be a serious competitor. Riding a two-game winning streak, the Canucks will face a good test at home in Rogers Arena against a Capitals team that has the best record in the Metropolitan Division.

Head coach Travis Green has done a good job keeping everyone in check, even with their issues with earning power play goals. If Green can keep this consistency, he could very well win the Jack Adams Award for hopefully making the Canucks a contending team all season long.

More from The Canuck Way

Hopefully, Horvat continues to lead the charge for a Canucks team hungry to silence the naysayers. They can make a lot of headlines going into the weekend if they’re able to beat the Capitals who have been a consistently solid team so far this season. Heading into Friday night’s game, Horvat has five goals, three of which through the power play, one assist, and 28 shots.

CANUCKS BETTINGS ODDS & LINES

Courtesy of The Action Network, the Capitals are -110 on the Moneyline. This is likely due to the fact that the Capitals are playing in two straight back-to-back games since with no break until Saturday.

The Canucks, having two days off to rest up and prepare for the Capitals, could be at a disadvantage due to not playing in any scheduled games since Tuesday. At any rate, the Capitals are early favorites for this Friday night matchup.

WEATHER FORECAST

As per The Weather Channel, if you’re traveling to the game, they’ll be early morning rain but a high of 12°C with clear skies at night around game time. The low will be 5°C.
