Henrik Zetterberg: Despite playing on a 26th-place team in the NHL, the 36-year-old Swede is having a fine season, with 46 points in 60 games.
Dylan Larkin: After an impressive rookie campaign that saw him score 23 goals and 45 points, and appear in the NHL All-Star game, Larkin is going through a sophomore slump. He is on pace for just 27 points this season.
WHO’S ON DEFENCE:
Brendan Smith: A pending UFA, Smith may be traded at the deadline, though his stated preference is to sign a new contract with the Wings. (UPDATE: Smith was traded to the New York Rangers today)
WHO’S IN NET:
Petr Mrazek: Jimmy Howard is nearing a return from injury, but Mrazek is the starter for now. Though his save-percentage is an ugly .902 on the season, he has played much better lately.
