Vancouver Canucks winger Alexandre Burrows has a sprained hand stemming from his altercation with Toronto Maple Leafs winger Phil Kessel on February 8, the final game before the Olympic break.

“He has a sprained hand in his fight,” Canucks head coach John Tortorella said on the TEAM 1040. “I’m hoping he’s gonna be able to come to the 19th and be able to go.”

Players who are not participating in the Olympics return to practice on February 19th and Tortorella says he has a three-day mini training camp planned for them.

This season, Burrows missed 12 games in October with a bruised foot and then missed an additional 20 games between December and January with a broken jaw. He has zero goals, five assists, and is a minus-12 in 28 games.
