Vancouver Canucks’ Daniel Sedin Set to Return Sunday Against Buffalo Sabres

Vancouver Canucks left winger Daniel Sedin will make his return to the lineup on Sunday against the Buffalo Sabres.

He has missed the past nine games after injuring his hamstring on March 2nd in the 2014 NHL Heritage Classic against the Ottawa Senators.

Sedin first returned to practice on Friday, skating on the top line with brother Henrik Sedin and Nicklas Jensen. Canucks head coach John Tortorella declared him good to go after Saturday’s practice.

Other injury news: centre Ryan Kesler, who has been out the past four games with a knee injury, is questionable after his knee “buckled” during a drill.

Winger Alexandre Burrows will not play and is day-to-day with a hand injury after taking a slash in the hands from Nashville Predators defenceman Shea Weber on Wednesday.
