Wild's Zach Parise Apologies to Canucks' Chris Tanev for Hit-From-Behind

Minnesota Wild winger Zach Parise has apologized to Vancouver Canucks defenceman Chris Tanev for his hit-from-behind.

Parise and Tanev were chasing down a loose puck in the Canucks zone to the right of Eddie Lack when Parise hit Tanev in the numbers. He was assessed a minor penalty for boarding to send the Canucks to the power play 1:07 into overtime.

According to the Province’s Ed Willes and CBC’s Elliotte Friedman, Parise made his way to the Canucks dressing room to apologize to Tanev.

Sportsnet’s Dan Murphy, who was asked by Parise to pull Tanev out of the dressing room, says Tanev’s response was, “Seriously?”
