Parise and Tanev were chasing down a loose puck in the Canucks zone to the right of Eddie Lack when Parise hit Tanev in the numbers. He was assessed a minor penalty for boarding to send the Canucks to the power play 1:07 into overtime.
According to the Province’s Ed Willes and CBC’s Elliotte Friedman, Parise made his way to the Canucks dressing room to apologize to Tanev.
