Olympics: Canucks’ Dan Hamhuis Likely to Remain in Canada’s Lineup

Anne-Marie Sorvin-USA TODAY Sports

Vancouver Canucks defenceman Dan Hamhuis will likely remain in Canada’s lineup on Wednesday when they take on Latvia in the quarterfinals at 9 a.m. PST.

Canada practiced on Tuesday and the defense pairings remained the same: Duncan Keith with Shea Weber, Jay Bouwmeester with Alex Pietrangelo, Marc-Edouard Vlasic with Drew Doughty, and Hamhuis with P.K. Subban.

Subban did not practice on the power play leading to TSN’s Ryan Rishaug to conclude Subban will be the eighth defenceman—not Hamhuis.

Head coach Mike Babcock will officially announce the scratches on Wednesday morning (late Tuesday evening in Vancouver).
