Vancouver Canucks Jordan Schroeder and Ryan Stanton “Really Close”

Injured Vancouver Canucks Jordan Schroeder and Ryan Stanton are “really close” to returning to the lineup, according to assistant coach Mike Sullivan.

Both players will travel with the team to Edmonton, where the Canucks play the Oilers on Tuesday night. The Canucks then return home to host the Nashville Predators on Thursday.

The sign they are making a one-game road trip is a good one.

The return of Schroder will be a welcome addition with the team losing two of its centres the last two games.

Mike Santorelli left last Thursday’s game against the Phoenix Coyotes with an arm injury. Captain Henrik Sedin is day-to-day with what is believed to be either a rib or finger injury—or both.
