Vancouver Canucks’ Mike Santorelli Injured, Wearing Sling on Arm

Anne-Marie Sorvin-USA TODAY Sports

It appears Vancouver Canucks centre Mike Santorelli will be out of he lineup for at least the next little while.

He was spotted wearing a sling in his right arm by the Vancouver Sun’s Elliott Pap prior to Saturday’s morning skate.

The 28-year-old left at 10:58 of the third period during Thursday’s 1-0 loss to the Phoenix Coyotes after getting tangled up with Martin Hanzal on a faceoff.

On the replay (via Legion of Blog), it looks like Hanzal crosschecked the arm of Santorelli.

Santorelli will not play against the Calgary Flames at Rogers Arena tonight. His spot will be taken by the returning Alexandre Burrows, who has missed the last 20 games with a broken jaw.
