Vancouver Canucks’ Roberto Luongo Day-to-Day with Lower Body Injury

Anne-Marie Sorvin-USA TODAY Sports

Vancouver Canucks goaltender Roberto Luongo left in the first period of Sunday’s game against the Winnipeg Jets with an injury and did not return.

Head coach John Tortorella revealed Luongo had suffered a lower body injury and is day-to-day.

The Canucks do not play until Sunday in Calgary against the Flames at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

If Luongo is not ready by then, Eddie Lack will be getting the start. It is expected goaltender Joacim Eriksson will be recalled from the Utica Comets to serve as backup.
