It was announced by Vancouver Canucks assistant coach Glen Gulutzan that defenceman Alexander Edler is out “indefinitely.”
Edler left Tuesday’s game against the Nashville Predators in the first intermission with some sort of leg injury. It was initially announced Edler was day-to-day.

As expected, Andrew Alberts draw into the lineup in place of Edler on Friday when they take on the Phoenix Coyotes at Rogers Arena.
He will slide into Edler’s spot on the pairing with with Jason Garrison.
