Vancouver Canucks defenceman Alexander Edler left Tuesday night’s game against the Nashville Predators in the first intermission with a lower-body injury.
Head coach John Tortorella announced after the game that Edler is day-to-day.

The lower-body injury is believed to be some sort of knee injury. He was seen favouring his right knee after making a pinch at the Predators blue line in the first period.

The Canucks don’t play until Friday against the Phoenix Coyotes, so Edler will have the next two days for his injury to heal. If he is unable to play, it is expected Andrew Alberts will draw into the lineup for the fourth time this season.
It will only be Alberts’s second game as a defenceman this season. He dressed the other two games as a forward and only played 1:49 and 49 seconds respectively.
