Vancouver Canucks Forward Jannik Hansen Close to Return

Vancouver Canucks right winger Jannik Hansen is close to returning to the lineup.

He joined the team for practice on Wednesday skating on the fourth line with left winger Tom Sestito and centre Zac Dalpe.

However, Hansen won’t be playing in Thursday’s game against the San Jose Sharks since he is not eligible to come off long-term injured reserve until after the game.

Hansen would have only missed nine games and 22 days by Thursday. The collective bargaining agreement states players on LTIR must miss a minimum of ten games and 24 days.

The return of Hansen would give the Canucks lineup some much needed depth. Since Hansen and Dale Weise went down with injuries a month ago, Canucks head coach John Tortorella has basically been playing with three forward lines.

See if the return of Hansen can give the Canucks a much needed offensive boost! Pick up your Vancouver Canucks tickets today!
