The Vancouver Canucks will be without winger David Booth for at least the first few days of training camp as he has yet to be cleared by team doctors.
Canucks general manager Mike Gillis and head coach John Tortorella say Booth is day-to-day. Gillis says he knows when Booth will be ready, but refused to share it.

Gillis says “he” knows when Booth will be ready, but he’s unwilling to share. Which you can understand because, you know, it’s pre-season..

A noteworthy revelation since his agent Mike Liut said in August that his client was on schedule and would be ready for training camp.
Booth had been skating with teammates all September at UBC’s Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre. He even declared himself ready to go for training camp to Sportsnet.
Perhaps the Canucks team doctors uncovered complications with his surgically repaired ankle during fitness and medical testing? If that is the case, uh oh.
