Vancouver Canucks Players Arriving in Preparation for Training Camp

Vancouver Canucks players have begun arriving in preparation for training camp which opens on September 11 with physicals at Rogers Arena.

Like other years, players are arriving weeks ahead to begin informal sessions with teammates at local Vancouver rinks.

A number of Canucks players were skating at the University of British Columbia’s Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre on Thursday. They were Andrew Alberts, Kevin Bieksa, Alexander Edler, Henrik Sedin, Dale Weise, Tom Sestito, Brad Richardson, and goaltender Eddie Lack. Chris Higgins was also present, but did not skate.

Daniel Sedin is expected to fly into Vancouver on Monday from Sweden and is expected to join the sessions shortly after that.

Jersey affectionados might be interested in knowing Richardson has been skating with a helmet with the number 15 on it, so it appears he will be wearing that number as a member of the Canucks.
