Vancouver Canucks goaltender Roberto Luongo will be reporting to training camp, according to his new co-agent Pat Brisson.
Luongo is now represented by both Brisson and J.P. Barry after firing his agent of 19 years, Gilles Lupien. They are expected to meet with Canucks general manager Mike Gillis very soon.
From #Luongo‘s co-agent Pat Brisson says, “Roberto has a contract & is preparing to be at training camp.” Still planning to speak to MG tho

There were suggestions Luongo might hold out to force the Canucks to trade him, but it doesn’t appear Luongo is prepared to go that route. He was named to the roster for Team Canada’s orientation camp for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi and a holdout would be damaging to his chances.
A tweet sent out by Luongo later in the day appeared to confirm this news. He made a tongue-in-cheek tweet warning Eddie Lack not to “get any ideas this upcoming season.” Luongo is of course warning Lack not to supplant him as the starter like his previous backup, Cory Schneider, did.
