2013 Canucks Free Agents: How Much Are Their Qualifying Offers?

The Vancouver Canucks have eleven potential restricted free agents and qualifying offers have to be issued to these players by July 2. If they do not receive a qualifying offer, they will become an unrestricted free agent.

These players are Darren Archibald, Derek Joslin, Kellan Lain, Prab Rai, Anton Rodin, Yann Sauve, Stefan Schneider, Jordan Schroeder, Bill Sweatt, Chris Tanev, and Dale Weise.

It is a safe bet Archibald, Lain, Rodin, Sauve, Schroeder, Tanev and Weise will all be receiving a qualifying offer.

On the other hand, it’s unlikely either Rai and Schneider will receive one. Rai has played in only 31 games in the ECHL during the course of his three-year entry-level contract. He has been battling back issues stemming from a car accident in 2010. Schneider doesn’t appear to be in the Canucks long-term plans after they re-assigned him to the St. Louis Blues affiliate.

Qualifying Offer
Darren Archibald $660,000
Derek Joslin $735,000
Kellan Lain $874,125
Prab Rai $605,000
Anton Rodin $735,000
Yann Sauve $708,750
Stefan Schneider $660,000
Jordan Schroeder $850,500
Bill Sweatt $850,500
Chris Tanev $850,500
Dale Weise $676,500
