What You Need to Know from Canucks Practice on April 30

The Vancouver Canucks were on the ice on the eve of Game 1 of the Western Conference quarterfinal series against the San Jose Sharks.

There was not much in terms of news, but we do know goaltender Cory Schneider is possibility for Wednesday’s game. He practiced again today and declared himself ready, but Schneider and the team will consult with trainers and doctors before making a final decision.

The forward lines and defence pairings remain unchanged, which means defencemen Keith Ballard and Cam Barker, and forwards Tom Sestito and Steve Pinizzotto are all likely healthy scratches.

The Canucks announced the recall eight players: forwards Jordan Schroeder, Nicklas Jensen, Darren Archibald, Kellan Lain and Alexandre Mallet, defencemen Jim Vandermeer and Peter Andersson, and goaltender Eddie Lack.
