Vancouver Canucks centre Ryan Kesler, who is currently out after undergoing offseason shoulder and wrist surgeries, is set to begin practicing with the team in the next 7-10 days.
General manager Mike Gillis revealed the news during a first period intermission segment on Sportsnet.

Kesler’s return to the lineup will be a welcome boost to a Canucks team who has had their second line decimated by injuries to Kesler and David Booth.
Booth is dealing with a strained groin that he suffered on the first day of training camp while undergoing physical testing. The timeline for recovery announced by the team was four-to-six weeks. He is out until mid-February at the earliest.
