Vancouver Canucks forwards Daniel and Henrik Sedin are well-known for their cheeky passes. They were proprietors of the slap pass, which sees one Sedin slap the puck to the other in the slot for a redirection on net. The move has since been mimicked by teammates and players around the league.
Canucks fans know how tough Zack Kassian is, but not many know about his passing skills. His passing ability has been on display all season with the Chicago Wolves when he threads a pass through the slot for a tap in.
Kassian took it to another level on Sunday against the Abbotsford Heat by pulling off a Sedin-esque pass to Wolves captain Darren Haydar. From the side of the net, Kassian sent the pass over the glove of Heat goaltender Barry Brust to Haydar, who knocked it down and fired it into the empty net.
