Chicago Wolves head coach Scott Arniel spoke with News 1130 on Monday and offered up his opinion on three of the Vancouver Canucks’ top prospects Zack Kassian, Kevin Connauton, and Jordan Schroeder.
While Kassian is a lock to get recalled if a season begins, but Connauton and Schroeder are both in the mix for rosters spots.
With Kesler out until January, Schroeder will most certainly be one of the players considered for the second-line centre position along with veteran Andrew Ebbett.
Connauton is a possible candidate to make the team with the team short on defencemen that can play the right side. The team only has two natural right-side defencemen in Kevin Bieksa and Chris Tanev. The Canucks will need to use a left-handed defenceman and possible candidates include Connauton, Alex Edler, and Keith Ballard.
