The league issued a press release on Thursday announcing the suspension, but did not indicate what Kassian was suspended for.
The release simply said Kassian’s one-game suspension was simply “a consequence of his actions during a game at Charlotte on Nov. 6.”
Paul LaTour, of the Chicago Tribune, speculates it could be a result of Kassian’s actions in the penalty box in that game. Kassian was called for a hooking penalty with six minutes to go in the second period.
I’m assuming Kassian’s suspension is due to him throwing his stick and hitting an off-ice official in the penalty box. #ChicagoWolves

@thedanibird I didn’t see it but was tweeted he threw his stick into penalty box on his way there and it hit the off-ice guy, cutting him.
