Canucks' ECHL Affiliate Kalamazoo Wings Unveils Opening Night Roster

The Vancouver Canucks’ ECHL affiliate, the Kalamazoo Wings, unveiled their opening night roster on Thursday and it features five Canucks prospects.

They are goaltender Joe Cannata, defenceman Adam Polasek, left winger Steven Anthony, centre Prab Rai, and left winger Darren Archibald.

Under the ECHL and Professional Hockey Players Association collective bargaining agreement, teams are allowed to have 20 players on their active roster. The Wings are currently have 18 players on their roster. It could be a sign there will be some final cuts from the Chicago Wolves roster. which currently stands at 28 players.

An active roster consists of a maximum of twenty (20) Players who have signed a Standard Player Contract (SPC) or have been assigned or loaned to the ECHL Club by an NHL/AHL team. A Player on Injured Reserve is not on the active roster.
