What A Game... Misconduct

What is there to say about this game, really? Other than to say, in the words of John Madden, things got “chippy” out there on the ice tonight in Boston.

My roommate and I partook in a two hour walk home and the entire time I just kept wondering what the final stat line was when it came to the penalty minutes in Game 3. So, as soon I got home I rushed to my computer and checked it out.

Here we go…

Boston PIM: 75 (4 players accounted for 65 of those PIM)

Vancouver PIM: 70 (66 minutes of those were awarded to 5 players)

Total PIM: 145

10 Minute Misconducts: 10

Not the craziest of penalty minute stat lines of all time but still a little bit out there. Aaron Rome’s 10 minute game misconduct in the first period started things off and the game eventually got away from the refs.

Hopefully the Canucks will take the beating they took in Game 3 and use it as motivation in Game 4 or this series might come back to Vancouver all tied up at 2-2.
