Sami Salo May Play Game 3

The Vancouver Canucks might get a boost to their defensive corps as defenceman Sami Salo might make a return to the line-up tonight for their Game 3 match-up against the Nashville Predators.

Rick Bownsess, the Canucks’ associate coach said Salo’s a “game-time decision” for tonight’s contest in their pivotal Game 3 match-up. Salo took part in a team optional skate on Tuesday. He’s been out since suffering an injury in Game 6 of their first round match-up against the Chicago Blackhawks. The injury was undisclosed.

Salo also missed over four months of game action to start the season as he recovered from a torn Achilles tendon. His injury may have slowed him down a bit but he was routinely considered the best defenceman the Canucks had the previous season.

Before he got injured Salo had 1 goal, a minus-2 and 7 hits during the playoffs.

The puck drops tonight at 6PM PST.
